During my MBA, I spent 16 months interning at ChowNow as a data analytics intern recommending operations strategies based on clients’ ordering data. I built an analytics product that generates quarterly PDF reports showing clients’ ordering performance on ChowNow’s platform.

Inspired by Treasury’s move to replace Alexander Hamilton with a woman on the new $10 bill, I built tendollars.me, which allows users to customize the design of the $10 bill using their own images.

Rightside

Rightside Shirts is a t-shirt company with designs created by elementary and middle school students. 100% of their profits go directly back to these students’ schools to fund art programs. Harley and I built an improved platform for visitors to fund, vote, run campaigns and keep track of campaign progress. I worked primarily on articulating user experience, coding front-end design in CSS and JavaScript, and performing some harmless back-end tricks.

Moon Shoal Oysters

Moon Shoal Oysters is a sustainable oyster farm located in Barnstable, MA. Through this redesign, Jon Martin, the farm owner, hopes to convey the idea of the “salty way of life” and the charms of Cape Cod to visitors near and far.

Radarr

I developed radarr, a cross-platform mobile app, as a weekend hobby project using a new JavaScript framework, Meteor. radarr serves as a directory of local radio stations. It helps traveling listeners locate their favorite stations faster through their phone screens rather than through frequency scans.

Survey Results

surveyresults.org is the Center for Effective Philanthropy’s online reporting platform that delivers results of stakeholder surveys to foundation clients. In my product management role, I plan annual development budget, coordinate development sprints with both non-technical and technical teams, and set directions for future development based on user analytics and feedback.

Crepe

During my time at CEP, I developed crepe, a back-end database API that has many interesting features:

• It sends aggregate client survey results to CEP’s online reporting platform at surveyresults.org
• Based on data contexts, it writes up summary of findings in natural language for clients
• It performs statistical analyses, including T-Tests and F-Tests, and generates results as interactive HTML reports

Crepe Manual

During my time at CEP, to facilitate knowledge transfer and minimize record keeping efforts, I developed an online manual for crepe, the back-end database API for surveyresults.org. Using Jekyll, I can quickly add and index new articles to this documentation guide.

Donuts

I created Donuts, an open-sourced tool built with Django and Qualtrics API, to help survey administrators easily track the response rates of their open surveys.

Shotify

Shotify was developed by a three-person team in 8 hours at Vampire Hackathon 2012, Boston. Shotify was built with Spotify Apps API. It turns any Spotify playlist into a power-hour drinking game. At the turn of every minute, the playlist will switch songs and the players drink. I designed user experience mock-ups, prioritized specs for development and prepared video pitch and copywriting materials.

Lingus

I developed an urban-dictionary clone, lingus, using a new JavaScript framework, Meteor. Multiple users can add, modify, and vote on word definitions and changes will be reflected in real time.
